Gapminder: 200 years that changed the world

This is a really lucid and wonderful presentation of an overview of the economic and health developments for the world for the last 200 years, in about five minutes. Totally worth your time.

That is an extremely cool programme – it really changes the effect to have it represented visually like that.
How the $*&^ did they get all of that economic data, year by year, for all of those countries?
    Whoah.
